L’Oréal Contour Khol - Jet Black 131 Review!

Heyya!
Hope everyone's great and had a fun sunday;))
As indians, we have a dual obsession over kohls..the two being culture and beauty sake...
As a child i always grew up to believe that kohl makes me as prettier as thestars on TV..phew;-)
Even now I'm fascinatedc by the elegance and attraction it adds to one's personality..
But, as we all know, its a double edged sword...u look beautiful as u apply it but can end up panda eyed when it smudges especicially in this humid hot indian climate..eww;(
So i hav been eternally hunting for an eye kohl that is jet black, can be used on waterline and on the lids, smudge proof..etc..etc..too much to expect naaa?
But one day, i found this beauty,L’Oréal Contour Kohl - Jet Black 131, and gals, am not at all disappointed!

COST: 299 INR

WHAT LOREAL SEZ:

With its new innovative formula combining oil and wax, Contour Khôl softly glides over the eyelid allowing you to achieve a long-lasting and intense colour result.
You can use Contour Khôl on the inside or outside of the eyelid to draw attention to your eyes and achieve a long-lasting and intense colour result.

My opinion:

It definitely lives upto its claims...jet black as the name, the pencil is sharpenable, glides on like a dream, is not too fragile to break on sharpening, stays for a good 3-4 hours without smudging or disappearing and with the same intensty as it was when applied..

Pros:

  • jet black
  • smudge proof
  • water resistant
  • use inside and outside the waterline;P
  • removed easily with any standard make up  remover
  • a variety of colors available
  • reasonable price;)
  • ophthalmologically tested

Cons:

might smudge after vigorous rubbing or after aroung 4 hours in an oily lid like mine

jet black, isn't it, in varying thickness but one swipe each
Final Verdict:

I rate it a 7.5 on 10

khol lovers, what are you waiting for...go grab it for, you'll not regreat a bit;)

Maybelline Color sensational Moisture extreme lipstick: Chestnut

Hello beauties!
here i'm back with a review on one of my latest acquisitions:
Maybelline Color sensational Moisture extreme lipstick: Chestnut .
I basically love pink lipsticks and am trying to collect a lot o them ..
This was actually hunted from a friend of mine...And oh boy, do i love it...

Its pinky pinky browny without any shimmer, apt for day or night time wear and would suit most indian skin tones , adequately moisturising and stays put for a decent 5-6 hours without touch ups( i didnot eat or drink anything in between;)..

Swatches in different lights;

Pros:

  • extremely moisturising
  • stays put for 4-5 hours
  • beautiful color pay off
  • has spf 15
  • very economic
  • i'm NC 42 nd this color instantly brightens up my face;))))

Cons:
Nil

I rate  it a 9/10

Overall verdict:
Its a great lipstick in a decent price..
Go ahead and buy if u love the color...

NYX round lipstick in Tea rose and its close dupe;)

Hiiiiiiiii all..
Hope u r all eagerly awaiting the weekend just like me;P
I recently bought some lipsticks and wanted to review them for u guys!
One of them is the most hyped lipstick among bloggers: nyx tea rose..
As we all know that all nyx lipsticks are well known for its creaminess, full coverage and moisturisation, this one is no less too..

Likes:

  • creamy
  • moisturising
  • I guess it will give full coverage for people with pigmented lips
  • Great number of shades
  • Tea rose is a beautiful rose which will suit fair and medium skinned..

in artificial light(above)

                                                  swatches in day light

Dislikes:
poor staying power( 3-4 hours) which is not a problem with me;)))

Overall, its a great lipstick to invest in..
And if u gals are not aware, these lipsticks are available on urbantouch.com with free shipping and COD..
Great isn't it?

My take:

It is a must have...i'll say MUST HAVE in all fair and wheatish gal's vanity case..

And now for the dupe, gals..
Oriflame's vintage rose is almost the same shade as that of tea rose,..
when u see separately, vintage rose may look a tad darker but on my lips, they are almost the same..
also, its not as creamy as nyx tea rose and needs 2 or 3 swipes to get the same color and full coverage..

Now, lets see the swatches....
oriflame vintage rose  swatched twice above and nyx tea rose with just one swatch below

(1st pic; artificial light, 2nd one: natural light)
Nyx :R, Oriflame:L

Pretty close, aren't they?
So, if u cannot access tea rose, go in for vintage rose..he...he...
Tke care girlies;)))
